International Meeting of Young Beekeepers

The 4th International Meeting of Young Beekeepers is being held in Muenster, Germany right now and, as is the tradition, each team presents gifts to the other 140 international participants.

Vita has provided its very popular swarm lures as gifts for the British Team to give to their fellow beekeepers, so we look forward to hearing how they were received and all about the meeting on their return.

It sounds like a lot of fun with competitions, games, eating and drinking. This year’s venue is also very special: it’s set in the heart of the European reserve Rieselfelder Münster, « a 450-ha natural experience area ».

Previous years’ events have been hosted in the Czech Republic (twice) and Austria. What a good way to tweak the demographics of beekeepers!
