Vita Animal Health Cutting-edge animal health solutions

Vita Animal Health was created with the passion to improve the health and welfare of pets. From our origins supporting the health of the humble honey bee, we understand the intimate links between human and animal health.

We are committed to working with leading scientists to research, develop and distribute high quality supplements to support the health and happiness of pets.

Vita’s range of ‘Rainbow on Your Shelf’ supplements support the health of joints, skin, ears and the cardiovascular system.  Our products are suitable for use in cats, dogs, horses and exotics of all ages.

We work exclusively with veterinary practices to ensure that owners receive reliable, professional advice to provide the best care for their much-loved pets.

Practice team members can benefit from our free CPD sessions which can be completed virtually or within practice. Technical support via face to face meetings, email or telephone. Our Vita2U’ direct dispatch service allows practices to save time and storage space while still providing an excellent service for their clients.

Owners can access our downloadable factsheets covering a wide range of topics and we provide a loyalty scheme across all our products.

Free downloadable information and factsheets on a variety of topics for veterinary teams can also be accessed through our veterinary area of the website.

A proportion of all our profits are donated to Vetlife. Vetlife is a charity dedicated to providing free and confidential emotional, financial and health support to all members of the veterinary team and their families. They are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can be contacted by telephone or email.

Meet the team

Tara Evans GradDipVN RVN Head of Sales

I started my dream career in a mixed animal practice in Sussex in 2003. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2006 and continued to work in first opinion practice until I joined the Vita team in 2018. My passion for the care and welfare of animals continues and I couldn’t turn my back on veterinary nursing completely so continue to work regular shifts at a local first opinion practice.

Like a lot of veterinary nurses I have quite a menagerie at home, I can never resist a cute face in need. My furry family include Mila my energetic, hyper black Labrador, Jules, Berba & Mia my three now aging cats, Beryl & Derek my rescue 3-legged tortoises, numerous fish and budgies. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, travelling and exploring new places.

I grew up surrounded by animals so reading Biology at University was a natural progression. From there I joined Vita Bee Health, with responsibility for developing our honey bee health sales in Central/Eastern Europe. I’m proud to say that this is now one of our fastest-growing regions.

In 2007, seeking new adventures, my girlfriend and I moved to Hong Kong ‘for a couple of months’. Four fantastic years later, and now married and with a two-month old daughter, we returned to the UK to be closer to friends and family. Back at Vita, it became clear to me that there was a real need for a company dedicated to supporting veterinary practices by offering high a quality, research-backed, veterinary-exclusive range of products. Thus, Vita Animal Health was born in 2018 and, in the expert hands of registered vet nurse Tara Evans, has gone from strength to strength. I am particularly proud of our partnership with Vetlife, helping them to provide vital support at a time of increasing awareness of the mental health challenges within the industry.

I enjoy helping out with Vita’s honey bees at our apiary close to the office. We have a pair of rescue guinea pigs at home and – once the long-running black lab / cocker spaniel debate has been resolved – we’re excited about adding a new member to our family!
